Delta Dryden toilet lever

Have you ever seen a lever installed facing the "wrong" direction?!
Delta's Dryden only works facing the direction shown on photo. If turned the other way, one would have to pull up to flush. It is driving my crazy. I do not understand how this is possible?
It was installed on a Drake Toto, FYI, which doesn't have anything to do with it, I don't believe.
Why did Delta design it this way? Anyone else with a Dryden toilet lever?!

All my levers work like that. I don't see that as an issue?

Why did you not just leave the one that was on there toilet levers are not exactly decor items kind of like wall switches. best to disappear.

I have all Champagne Bronze in this half bath from knobs to faucet to sconces. I believe details make the difference.

In the end....and since I don't want it to be a conversation topic, I very well may replace with the chrome lever.

Mine works like that and it's really not an issue - maybe the first day when I realized it but no more of an issue than remembering what switches work which lights or how to regulate my new shower - and any other stuff I had to learn and internalize when I moved back into my new remodel - or really whenever one moves into a new environment or just stays in a hotel :-).

FWIW, I had Toto toilets and levers and my levers are oil rubbed bronzed because the rest of my hardware is oil rubbed bronze. Since I selected the toilets and the hardware (not to mention everything else) to be reasonably cohesive and aesthetic why should I plop in a chrome toilet lever when a matching one was available?

I was told that delta levers won’t work on Toto toilets. The lever system on Toto toilets is different from most. Have you had any problems with Delta levers on Toto’s?
