Did you use the right material to touch up finish? They come in Satin, Semi-gloss and Extra Matte.

Leave it alone = simplest/easiest/cheapest way to deal with it. Finishes dull-down with time. It happens every day. And even if you have the same "gloss" level as your floor (which appears to be satin), the FRESH application can and will look "glossy" for up to 2-3 weeks. Then it makes the "final" push to full cure and dulls down to the "right" gloss level (the level listed on the can).

Personally I would leave it. It will dull down over time and will slowly match what is around it. If you notice this in June 2019, then feel free to use a rough cloth to give it a bit of a buff to knock down the gloss. This will "age" the finish a little faster. I would NOT go too aggressive with this approach as the spot you "touched up" is always going to be a bit delicate compared to the rest of the floor.

Good luck. This is part and parcel of a wood floor. Thankfully you had some finish on hand to make the fix. Saving the wood is the most important thing...and you've done just that.

It costs nothing to leave it and see if it dulls with use. Touchups tend to make the spot bigger. Perhaps careful use of Scotch Brite or super fine sandpaper would knock the shine down a little.
