Aw, Linda, I’m sorry you’ve been so sick. It’s such a bad time for it during the holidays too.

I am ready to put the borders on my Strip Twist quilt. I hope to work on that this afternoon.

I just did my least favorite job - oven cleaning. Our oven is self-cleaning, but I still clean my three racks by hand. Also the warming drawer. It’s funny how certain tasks are just the worst. Years ago, my friend and I had a contest to see who could lose the most weight in a given time. The loser had to clean the winner’s oven, and this was in the days before self-cleaning ovens. That was all the incentive I needed! I kept her company while she cleaned. Gosh, that was a long time ago - 50 years ago, I’ll bet.

Linda, I'm glad you're on the mend. I've heard of a lot of people who are sick right now, but it is that time of year.

I just cut out an apron for my daughter for Christmas. Due to logistics, we're celebrating next weekend. Without thinking, I put my cutting board to soak, so will wait until that dries to cut the neck strap and ties. I have plenty to do to get ready for our Christmas next Saturday and 30 of my family on Sunday. Not sure where I am going to put all of them. LOL
