Need help with lighting in my bedroom

I am trying to decide what kind of lamps to put on my bedside tables but, its a loft and im not sure what to do! Do i get tall lamps and let them stand above the wall, or shorter lamps because the wall is short? Thoughts? I have added some lamps I like. Can you vote on which one looks the best and why? ~Thanks!

I do like the orange lamps as they match the wall really nicely. I am also liking the idea of shorter, more squat lamps with a wider base. A darker grey base could tie in the carpet nicely. Another option would be a lamp similar to a desk lamp with a

Not sure it is possible but how nice it would be to turn them into fish bowls / lamps. But yeah I suppose if they can be filled might make them interesting to have something inside them.

No , you don't have to fill the clear lamps it's a personal choice if you decide to do so.
With lower nightstands lamps that stand above the wall would look better but with your beautiful mirrored bedside tables I would use shorter lamps
Have you considered swing arm lamps?

I like the swing lamps but I am not sure there is enough room...a clip on lamp could look cool.

Oops... lost the last part of my sentence... a desk lamp with a softer line to it. I attached a few ideas that I picked out from Google Images to give you an idea of what I mean.

Hi Kristen... I went to google images and typed in "table lamps" and "desk lamps". I didn't source them... too time consuming... just wanted to send you a suggestion. These came up top of list. The bottom right is from Crate and Barrel I believe.

I'm thinking that you could place two swing arm lamps on top of the half wall and enjoy the light on both sides of the wall when and where you need it. Or if you find the right ones, you could mount them on the bedroom side of the wall.
