what to do with this niche

I need help with what to put in the niche. It is 59" Ht, 28" W, and 16" D, in the entry way. I like a more casual style/coastaly. I will paint the space soon(ish). It matches the living Room. I haven't decided on a color yet; but it won't be tan, taupe, white...you get the picture. My house has been described as "a crayon box". Any ideas?

Blue or another cool color, like primary colors since you already have red and yellow

It's certainly is a tall space. A sculpture, or some kind of free standing art piece. Painting the niche a darker color will make it recede and the art stand out more.

Thank you for the ideas. So, how tall of sculpture or art piece? If the space is 59" tall, how tall should the piece be to look proportional(?)
