If you have the budget, I would build some kind of wood frame and mantel for the brick, similar to these. Any carpenter should be able to handle it.

What does your furniture look like? Decide on style then you can figure out what to do with the fireplace. I don’t see anything interesting a mirror would reflect so art would be better. You don’t have much height over the top of fireplace so you might need to layer several pieces across mantel with perhaps a vase and some greenery. But as I said, first figure out style.
