Julia Child, Rose, Purple Passion aka Pink Pioneer

Thanks for your contributions! If by "Rose" you mean the pinkish large variety whose seeds first came from Johnny's, I would consider that one of the truly great tomatoes. I used to grow them and I hope those seeds are still available. Never heard of Julia Child, tho.

Julia Child is exclusive to www.tomatofest.com where you can also purchase Rose. It's a wonderful big pink/red tomato! I grow both these varieties every year along with Chocolate Stripes, Cherokee Chocolate, Virginia Sweets, Purple Passion/Pink Pioneer and several others.

I really like Italian Hierloom from Seed Savers Exchange. It has large-tasty-meaty-juicy-sweet fruit, and is also very productive.

I see that Boar is the type with those beautiful phosphorescent/glow-in-the-dark stripes. I love looking at them, they are so lovely in the garden I don't want to pick & eat them, it seems like a crime!
