Need ideas for what to put in the opening at the first landing of the stairs. Width of the window opening is 48.5 inches wide, 48.5 inches high, 13 inches deep. Also, looking for ideas on what to put on the walls around it, if anything at all. That opening is also seem from the family room.

I will be asking for suggestion for lighting in a different post. As the light bulb you see here will need to be replaced with something better, :-)... but is part of the Entry where another lighting fixture should be consider at the same time. Will post with pictures
