Mine isn't coming up yet. But the room it's in is about 50F. right now.

Ignoring common advice, I had the idea that the Konjac would be happy covered up in a pot, insulated from humidity and temp changes in the basement, after all it is natural to sit in the ground. It has an 8-9 inch growth now. Never watered. What can I expect? Should I just uncover it or let it be? 12" clay pot.

Have a "Night Stick" tuber I bought to the left on the pot. Smaller normal Konjac to the right that left uncovered, both asleep.

I would just let it be. Don’t water it. I dig mine up because it produces so many babies each year and grows so large.

I don't have anything to add to this plant thread, but I recently discovered there are noodles made from this plant's tuber (I think).

Gotta be very close! My first flower ever. Not sure what I did to get it to flower so soon, in a cool corner of the basement while it has been below freezing outside all week.

44 inches above the pot soil. It is cool, at least for me. I wanted a really weird giant flower, and I've got one. No flies to attract so far, so it is lonely. Now hope the other konjac tuber I have left in the ground all winter flowers.

What now? I've got 1.5-2 months before last frost in May. So do not water until the flower dies and a leaf starts to grow? What is in the soil now? The tuber had to shrink to make the flower. Can I plant it when the leaf is a couple of feet high?

Hmmmm. I am not far from Philadelphia......have not checked my tubers for a while........

I may have to hit you up for some konjac tubers someday, Jana. Lost mine after having them for over 5yrs. sigh
