We used SW Repose Gray and SW Pure White on our last house and I love that color scheme. I'll likely use it again on our upcoming renovation. It was light but not too white.

I did not mean that white is a drab color for your house. Perhaps what I should have asked is why you chose a duller shade of white opposed to a brighter shade. You have black windows so the house will not lack in interest.

I would not select natural cedar on anything & no red brick.

Nice house! Personally, I am over the trendy white modern farmhouse, particularly in a wooded or more natural setting. However, I do think the white will look nice with the black windows (I also like two tone white, and love alabaster). It’s too bad you aren’t in a better climate to go dark blue/navy, and double bummer green isn’t a good option, either! Have you considered a blue-ish gray or even a lighter blue? I found a pic of blue siding, black windows and white trim.

I really like gray siding with white trim, too, although all the new builds in my area are either all white or some shade of gray, so I am growing tired of gray, too. Lol. Although now that I re-read your post, I wouldn’t put gray with red brick and cedar, anyway.

I guess to my thinking the cedar doesn't look right. Just my preference.

There are many shades of green. I don't think you should be prohibited from having a green house just because your neighbors chose their colors first.

I also think your house would be nice in pale yellow.

Pale gray would still allow your black windows to stand out.

If you go green or any color that is darker than white, you're going to need to do some white/off white colored trim around your windows. Otherwise, your black windows will sink into the house. I don't that will give your the look you're going for with this house.

I would opt for a two shade white. We are also in the woods and whites just stand out not chalk white tho.
