Calacatta gold shower surround/floor

We are renovating the master bathroom and hall bathroom. Photos above show the master shower tiled with Calacatta Gold marble 3"x6" subway tile on the walls and 2" hex tiles on the floor. I chose a gray grout in the showroom. When the installer came, I was out of town, and he asked my husband if we were SURE we wanted the dark grout (they usually use white grout with Calacatta Gold). My husband told the installer to go with what the contract specified, so he used the gray grout.

Because there are so many dark subway tiles in this shower, I'm not unhappy with the gray grout. But we are going to use the same tiles in the hall bathroom, and I wonder if I should switch to white grout for that job.

Also, I'd appreciate thoughts on keeping gray grout with the hex tiles on the floor and using white grout with the subway tiles on the walls.

PS - Please ignore the shower niche. The contractor has agreed to redo it.

Thank you!
