Welcome Greg. Pictures of the area to be improved would help me. But, I read you have researched this, what has been proposed? You are willing to pick up what? And what was quoted vs what you want to pay?

What material are you interested in? They come in a wide variety of materials.. I have long rectangular Corten steel troughs, best price I could find was from Hayneedle website. Troughs can be expensive.

Thanks Jim, I can grab a pic this evening. I see planters online- fiberglass, wood, some metal, but I’m looking for the best solution to fill a 25 foot wide space but I’m a little flexible on depth and height.
I saw this style at a condo complex recently, which I liked. But the prices are upwards to $2k. I was wondering if anyone had experience or recommendations for the best function and price. If someone sells them I’d love to check them out.

That’s where I live too ( Newport Beach). I have both Corten steel ( look sort of industrial modern, rusted look ) & black fiberglass ones which might fade some, I don’t know since mine ( the black ones ) are in a semi shaded area. Both have held up well.

That's funny, I took that picture at the new condo complex off of West Balboa Blvd! Thank you for the advice. I may end up building them myself if I can't find a good solution.

There's a place near Long Beach that seems to have the best prices for ceramic (etc) planters - Pottery Mfg & Dist. Inc. (they are a factory but also sell to the public, and they import). I believe I remember seeing terra cotta and ceramic, but I think maybe fiberglass as well. No wood there. They also have a large heavily discounted 'seconds' area. Worth checking out probably. Lots of videos online of how to make wooden ones if you're handy.

Speaking of coincidences, that picture is from the new condos right at the base of Balboa, right? My mom lives 2 blocks from there! Small world! You probably know her if you walk a dog.
