Waiting Until March to Fertilize in 9a

My blog really should be named "The Impatient Gardener."

Every expert tells us to wait until March in 9a to start fertilizing, because there just may be a cold spell in February, but I really don't think there is much chance of that this year. Everything in my garden is putting out new growth, and it's so hard to sit on my hands and not try to urge that new growth on.

I tend to err on the side of caution, and February for me is the time to start seeds indoors and prune/clean up. It's still hard, though. I envy those of you in 9b/10a who can start feeding this month.
