No, to both questions. I live in a loft and water is everywhere. There will be water that will leak because there is a small gap between the glass and the wall. In addition, when the water sprays onto your body, the water will splash out onto the tile floor. Your tub will have water along the floor when you're done showering every single time. These are European frameless showers/ tub screens that are meant for limited tub use and special tubs at that. If you consider a tub screen, you may want to consider the type of shower head you are using, width of the screen, the width of your tub, and distance to the toilet when the screen swings outwards.

Also, yes it does hit the toilet.

The single door stays closed; there is a bit of splash but sealant is the key....and as you get used to the configuration, you naturally adjust to minimize leakage.
