After a very unusual Arizona snowstorm, our palo verdes suffered quite a lot of limb loss. Since they can photosynthesize through their bark, I’m wondering how much loss they can tolerate. We would like to reduce weight on remainning branches by further pruning, but don’t want to be too aggressive. Next step is to contact an arborist, but I would appreciate any thoughts from this forum. Thank you.
