Can I echo your no ambition comment? I won the Lotto blocks last June and that quilt just needs binding. Today, I hope. I do have a scrappy called Zig Zag Zoom partly made. And of course, the BOM blocks to do. Beyond that, who knows!

Hoping to get a bright, batiks baby quilt completed today, and figure out fabric for the March BOM. Other than that...not a thing. Somehow, every weekend in March has been booked with something to do.

I finally started one of my "someday" projects a couple of weeks ago. It's Monterrey Medallion by Atkinson Designs. I have the center star made and 8 of the 12 woodpile blocks to go around the center. Of course, I got going too fast and 4 of them are assembled backwards. >sigh< Anyway, I plan to keep working on it this month.

I recently bought fabric for a new bedskirt, so maybe I'll get that done this month, too.

I want to get at least 2 UFOs quilted and finish the Scrap Crystals top I have started.

I plan on making 2 BOMs from here, finishing the table runner for work and cutting up scraps. It doesn't sound like much, but I volunteered to work full time for March. Working and sewing will be about all I do!

I've worked off and on, mostly off, on my snowball child's quilt. We're still in Hawaii, thank goodness. This was the snowiest February on record in Minneapolis (just under 40") and the fourth snowiest month since 1865. We have kids and grandkids coming to Maui to visit this month, so I'll probably not get much quilting done. No buyer for our condo yet, but if this nasty weather continues on the mainland, we may have to rethink selling.

I have a applique quilt I've been working on the past few weeks that I hope to finish. It's from a book by Jane Zillmer called Nature's Journey. I also have a sandwiched bulldog themed couch quilt to work on. Maybe I can get both projects completed by months end

Sounds like the low-ambition bug is going around, I'm the same way. I've got to kick this sluggish feeling, I've got too much fabric and not enough years ahead of me. It could be that I'm just feeling down from all the bad stuff that's happened already this year, sickness between DH and I, and DS losing her DH, my dog coming in with a hole in her face and needing to be stitched up, having to buy a new washing machine, etc. I'm just in a slump. And to top it off, I got out of the house today and went to Hobby Lobby just to get out and look around and wound up buying some fabric, why I'm doing that is beyond me.

We’re here in the Caribbean still trying to repair our house after Irma.

We have a lovely Honduran mahogany table - couple hundred years old - that was damaged. Long story short, my husband agreed to turn it into a permanently installed sewing table. Finally a decent place down here to sew! Hope the woodworker finishes and installs it this week.

Then i’ll be off to the races replacing all the cushion covers that were ruined in the hurricane.

Theresa, I had to look up your Zig Zag Zoom. I really like that pattern and it's going on my To Do list! Are all of your 6 1/2" squares different colors?

Larri, Orphan Train is the name the gal gave to using orphan blocks in a row-by-row quilt-along. I don't know if what I'm using qualify as orphans but they are barn blocks that I started as 2 BOMs a few years ago and didn't finish the year out. I have two rows together along with a separater row which used some blocks I had already made from another project. It somehow ended up being 50" wide. I need another separater row and am trying to brain storm my options.

Sharon, yes all the squares are different 6 1/2" and I think I have two pieces of red, blue, yellow green, etc. . I was using up bits and pieces but did have enough of each colour to do the large block and all of the 2 1/2" in the blocks but did not have any leftovers for that scrappy border. After it was finished I thought it might look much better if all the fabrics were from the same line but that will be another project. Or even an I Spy.

It reminded me of Falling Charms as I was laying it out. It does look good to me. Good and scrappy. I was working on it this morning and came up with a different border treatment. I will take a picture of that later.
