Oh, please don't say you have no joy in your life. Surely, growing all those beautiful plants and flowers must bring you some joy!

I agree with DG. There is joy in discovering each petal unfurling of a new flower each day. Little curious or hungry visitors to the garden. The crazy way some partially ignored or forgotten plant is twining/twisting its stems and leaves around something it shouldn't be, or that just looks interesting. The garden is full of joy and serendipity. Sometimes the littlest things make me happy:)

A few past things that have made me smile in the garden:

The passiflora vine that wanted to strangle the annoying bamboo bird lol..maybe it was too noisy. Its going right for the throat :P

Little frogs sometimes get stuck in my moonflowers. I often have to go open the bloom and let them out. The frogs are nocturnal and eat little bugs attracted to the fragrant blooms. In the morning when the moonvine flowers close, the frogs sometimes don't move fast enough.

Who knew that Moonflower vines were Venus Frog Traps?

One morning, this guy was sitting there with a half closed flower.
