Did you make a decision? I've been ready reviews and have read that some of the Pottery Barn sofa fabrics pill up even when fairly new. They are similar price when not on sale. I'm thinking American Leather is going to be better.

The American Leather unit has the same mechanism as the Taylor King and Hancock & Moore sleep sofas, and its stout and solid. The problem with this frame design common to all three of those brands is 1) they are extremely heavy (appx 370 lb) 2) the front arm comes forward to the frame. This results in a every difficult delivery as the unit cannot be taken apart into components. You need a wide doorway to get it into the house (35" minimum) and due to the weight its not going up or down any stairways. While these sleep good as a bed and sit well as a sofa, they are pricey and half our delivery attempts fail with them because of where our clients want us to place the unit. Great sofa if you don't mind spending $ 3K to $ 4K on a unit and its a straight, wide door shot into your room.

Hooker furniture is doing the most innovative leather sleep sofa I've seen in a very long time, it's made in Italy and reasonably priced. You will see photos of the Loveseat size, the Queen is a bit longer. This has quickly become a top seller in my store. Plus (this is my favorite feature) the arms slide up and off the piece, allowing the delivery team to get it into homes and rooms where often they cannot go otherwise. Pretty cool sleeper. I floor these now instead of the big monsters in the first paragraph.
