Tight seam, color off tho :/

Good looking seam.

It looks fine. Once you start using the kitchen and the seam gets a little dirty, it will blend in more. These are things you don't even notice once you start using the kitchen!

Everyone feels the seam is fine but for me personally I wouldn't like it ..maybe itll darken over time like someone mentioned

It would bother me. I do agree if they darken it a bit it would blend better but not too dark. I disagree that you should just use your kitchen and youll get used to it. If it bothers you, have it fixed (seam - I dont think this is a redo). When I have things like this, it doesn't go away in time...it actually makes me mad everytime I see it! Plus, I am sure you paid a fair amount of money for this, dont settle for less than you want/expect.

Pattern lines up perfectly (it doesn't look like an easy job to do because the pattern is so busy) and the seam looks great. You won't be noticing it very soon. Enjoy your new countertop!

The issue here is whether this seam is up to normal industry standards. If it is, it's unfair to expect the fabricator to redo it because your expectations are beyond what normal, competent workmanship can deliver. You might ask the fabricator to come back and darken the seam but I don't think, from what I can see that, a total redo is reasonable.

The fabricator did a great job with a super busy pattern! You can always ask to darken the seam, but It looks good!

I concur that the seam and pattern match reflect good quality workmanship on the part of the installer and fabricator.

Given the color variations in the slab, I think the existing color will serve you better than a darker color. I think you'll find the darker the color seam, the easier it will be to perceive a line going through the white portions of the slab.

I am impressed with the pattern matching. That is hard to do, and many fabricators don't bother with that amount of precision shown in your photo. I agree with Charles Ross Homes - if you darken the seam, it will actually show more glaringly against the beautiful white chunks of your stone. So for example, in your photo, at the seam and near to the bottom of the photo, there is a lovely white chunk. Imagine a darker seam going through that section.

Want to add, that is a gorgeous stone! Congratulations!

I am a fabricator. Your supplier did a very nice job. It might be a bit less visible if it was darkened in the areas where it is transiting a dark area in the stone. I had to look for it to see it in your pic. Enjoy it.

I was going to say the same thing as Mark Rachel. I have a white granite with areas of black, and my seam was nicely done - but it matched the white part, so where it ran through contiguous black sections it stood out. I carefully colored those sections in with a sharpie. Looks great. :)

That seam looks fantastic!

I think it’s one of the best seams I’ve seen, especially given the pattern. I think the fabricator had to pick a color, and the granite has very light and very dark shades. If he’d gone dark, you’d see that, too. Definitely a Sharpie job. I’ve done it with quartz. Works well.
