Hi, Pat. I just started getting plants again last year, after a long break. Im getting Sansevieria. I was nervous about having different varieties this first Winter. I just water when they need it, whether they have pups (I'm assuming), or not. Pots are new for all these plants, all the plants are new to me, so each pot has one or two skewers that I can check for moisture. When I do water, I do so thoroughly, not watering again until dry. So far, so good, with no unwanted issues as a result of overwatering or an overly moisture retentive medium. Show your shoots with a picture, if you like. The next few weeks feel like a long haul till Spring. An image of something fresh and green and new is always a boost.

Yes, I water all my succulents in Winter, somewhat. My home is overheated & now I'm watering my Sans. more than one might expect, as the heat is blasting.

Last Spring I had new growth at this time of year & later realized it's cause the heat was blasting & the plants thought it was time to grow.

I would water especially since you've got the pup. We'd love to see a pic pls! ;>)

Karen, I've only planned to learn how to post pics for about 10 years now. Hate to rush in to anything, but I do LOVE seeing others' pics. I'll work on it. And thank you for responding. I actually knew that -- just getting old
