Quartz slab behind induction range?

Greetings Houzzers,

For our kitchen remodel we're planning to use Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold for countertops and continue it up to the ceiling behind the range/oven. We have a new slide-in GE Profile induction range and wall mount hood. The range has the controls in front so not a tall lip at the back.

All of a sudden I'm finding Houzz posts that talk about the danger of quartz scorching when used as a backsplash behind a range. So that is disconcerting. I will call GE but does anyone here know whether an induction range vs. gas or electric makes a difference in terms of heat/smoke on the backsplash? We have not spent $$ on the Silestone yet so there's time to change the plan.
