What are your “112” numbers mounted on? I can’t understand your entrance. Do you have another picture?

I’d paint all the blue and the garage door a grey that works with your brick.
Remove the shutters! Possibly look into adding trim around the windows to add more definition.

I dont usually think brick should be painted if it is nice brick, however, you have nice bricks, but, the one around the garage isnt the same as the brick on the right front, and then there is the blue in between. In your case, I would paint the entire house, including the brick, all one color. The blue paint isnt really doing much for it either. It is a very nice looking house, just needs to look like it all belongs together.

I'm not digging the blue at all. I like the brick, though. (Except the brick all the way to the roof on the garage. Looks odd, but obviously nothing to be done to cure that.)

I agree that it looks very disjointed. Perhaps a more cohesive color, like a beige or cream, would help tie the two brick ends together?

Maybe the brick looks like two different colors because the garage is in full sunlight and the other end of the house is in shade. As everyone has said, that light blue just doesn't do anything for the house, & all those shutters might be making the front too busy. You might remove the shutters, since you'll have to remove them if you paint them anyway, and paint the blue wall a medium

neutral color. Wait a day or so, then take a walk, & come back to see the house from a fresh perspective. If it looks bare, then you can put t the shutters back up LOL.

The brick is fine, but as others have said, the shade of blue isn't quite right. A grayer blue or green-gray would work better. I like having a different color on the siding. Shutters seem quite appropriate for the house style, also, so whether you keep them or not is up to your preference.

I'd be inclined to paint the shutters, trim, gable vents & window frames black or other dark color (depending on what you choose for the siding) and look for a nice brighter color for the door.

@cbdillon Thanks, Claire. The house numbers are on a post (4x4)that has a skinny vertical railing attached from the post back to house (about 3-4 ft.length) I was thinking of removing that and replacing the post with one more to scale. That’s all I could think of. I like your idea of painting gray and trimming out the windows.

@kat_ky. Thanks! The bricks are actually all the same. Just the sunlight making it appear to be different as sylvia-gordon97 pointed out. I feel the same about painted brick-I’d rather not, but realize that some brick really does look better painted. @sylvia-gordon97. I agree and I like the option of keeping the shutters just in case!

@littlebug5. Those were my initial thoughts, too. The blue is outdated and maybe paint everything the same neutral. But then I start thinking that it might look too boring?
@raee-gw. Yes that sounds nice-darker shutters with a lighter neutral siding.

Don't paint a quality brick in good condition. It is a maintenance free product until you cover it with paint. Find a different color that coordinates better with the brick and repaint the siding.
