Oak Flooring

Love the custom finish and width of these oak floorboards. What is the width and what kind of finish on white oak floor boards would get a similar result as here? Wish we were in LA near you guys!!

CMC - how long would you expect a finish like this from Rubio to last in a dry climate southern colorado? I love their finishes but hesitant that it would be too much maintenance. Your work is gorgeous!

Hi Pamela. Thank you for your kind words.

It will depend how well you maintain the floors, how much abuse it gets etc etc, but I believe the floor will last in a great shape for a good 5 years or so. If you only use their cleaner I don't see why the product will not perform as it should. Rubio also has a product called refresh eco that is very user friendly. Hope I was able to help.

Thanks so much for your professional advise! The Rubio Monocoat is gorgeous and so is your work. Just trying figure out what is the right fit for me here in a dry climate and if the coat I go with matters.

My pleasure. Best of lucky with your project. If you need help finding a professional hardwood floor company I may be able to refer you to a certified professional in your area. Just let me know.

@CMC - how do you think these floors would last with the changing climate in Minneapolis? We have 2 larger dogs and 2 kids in the house (no shoes indoors!) so our floors are well used (and lots of area rugs as well), but we also maintain them pretty well...Do you think we could get 10 years out of the finish reasonably?
