I had to look it up. The black flecks are flower remnants. The seeds look like seeds.

Hey, brag away! Are you going to eat it? Apparently it has to be thoroughly ripe, and even then some have reactions. Nothing about eating variegated Monstera in the quick google search but 'firstee' braggers also tend to have to be the guinea pigs. ;)

Ah,shoot. So far I haven't gotten a seed out of the kernels. But they tasted quite good. I wouldn't call them all out delicious. A mild Pineapple banana taste. Sweet too.

Does the variegation come true from seed with Monsteras? It doesnt for some plants. My variegated Monsteras havent fruited yet, just my green one.

Right now,it's looking like a sterile..or non pollinated plant. But I haven't rushed to tear it apart.

I'm surprised too..nobody else in the history of horticulture has posted the fruit of Variegated Monstera and then the ripe fruit -wink. I can die happy now,lol.

It was good. More like a mild Pineapple with Banana flavor and a moist banana texture.

You really want to make sure it's ripe enough. Here in the much cooler bay area,wait until it actually starts to split open. Before then,we risk it just rotting. I also have the all green and I have picked that too soon before.

In Florida you might be able to pick before it splits. Might,I don't know for sure.
