Hello and thanks in advance for any advice. We are renovating our master bathroom. I’ve chosen Daltile’s Marble Attache which is a calacutta look in porcelain. Tiles are available in 12 x 24 and 24 x 24.

Shower is now 7 x 4 and bathroom floor ranges from 7 feet four inches at its narrowest, near the tub, although there is a separate toilet room as well just over 6 feet by 6 feet. My main question is whether 24 x 24 is too large scale for the floor in my space and if not, if it would look good in combination with horizontal 12 x 24s in the shower. (See attached floor plan which has since been revised a bit ( moving closet and window to allow wider floor in the shower and tub space, wider shower and longer tub).



Option B is to do 12 x 24 on the floor as well as a 12 x 24 in horizontal subway pattern in the shower. If I go that route would you suggest a subway pattern on the floor or a herringbone? If subway, would it look strange to have the floor tiles running perpendicular to tbe horizontal orientation on the main shower wall ( facing you as you walk in). Which would you do?
