First is a Sedum-I think it looks like one that’s also in my yard, a perennial Sedum that is evergreen in its habit.

Helen, no, it isn’t. Multiceps looks like a very diminutive topiaried shrubbery. I had remembered it as being from North Africa (Morocco) but I see it's actually Algeria it hails from. A lovely winter-water-receiving plant genetically bonsai'd to within a few inches of branches.
