What is the style of the DOORS?? Raised panel, recessed? Single, double panel? Shaker? what? : )

Just a thought . . . At home we have the traditional door knob on our doors. I always wanted to change them out to lever door handles, especially now that I am older. We are currently away from our home, living in a B&B apartment. There are lever handles on the doors, and I have to say I do not care for them. I keep catching my sleeves on them, bathrobe and coat pockets, and bundled laundry when going into the bathroom. Maybe I am just not use to them, haven’t gotten into the mojo of remembering they are there so need to steer away from them.

As people age, or as arthritis sets in, a lever is far preferred........: )

I agree, Jan, that is me, aging. I think levers do need some getting use to though, a learning curve.

I've been living abroad for years, so I'm pretty used to levers. I would never go back to knobs, to be honest - levers are just easier on the hands (and I can snag my clothes on anything, knobs included, so that's not an issue for me!)

Lever and second one down is the most transitional and will go with every style.

A lever handle with a bit of curve. Or a quality and simple round or even an "egg".. Of your three pictures? The last lever. That's a pretty traditional door : )

I would stress about this too. Third one looks cheesy to me and I can't figure out why. I would go with #1 if you want simple, and #2 if you want something that reads as modern.
