do you get snow in winter? Flat roofs are not a good idea if there's any kind of snow load. Snow slides off my peaked roof plastic high tunnel.

well I did the arches after all.... just not as tall as the " emty coverless" Shelter Logics".... should have did shorter "bins" as they take so much soil to fill. Ended up using old leaves and sticks before using some old pot soil, nursery top soil and nursery "compost",, Did pretty good. also di lots of those big 24 inch black nursery pots .. Got kind of carried away. Tight inside of hoops. but managed..

Covered all diring the growing season with "hail netting" it prob helped during hot summer and intense heat. But had to water quite often like most everyday during the 30 days w/o rain. Rah... I used waer jugs, empty water bottles, tea jugs, empty kitty litter big jugs. etc from the recycle bins. I used a old diaper pin to make a hole in bottom og each "jug". took hose from jug to jug.

learned hard way.... next yr.(God willing) will make sure I have plenty of jugs ahead of time, preferably with large mouthed holes ( easily stick hose into for faster filling and less waste). for each plant at planting time.,

marking the jug at top, too so I can glance down at pin hole ( circled with a sharpie, ahead of time,too). and make sure it s dripping.. toward each plant Not fooling around finding the pinhole. making sure pin hole not clogged. having a pc of wire to secure each jug to something so it didnt overturn etc. or hanging wire from roof to hold jugs steady

plenty of old big sized lite colored T shirts etc to go over the outside of dark pots too help in hot sun. also nice to have lined pot too with old shirts to keep in dirt better...

also using old DW racks ahead of time to keep plants like squash, etc off "dirt" and for supports. Instead of after all is well along and disturb plants.

adding a sol Moist too at planting time.

using sticky traps tied to roof of Hoops or Shelter Logic...

Putting tomato cages on right away too at planting time and securing.

Lots of Mistakes but in long run all paid off and counted my Blessings
