Love ORB but not just the faucet...…...door knobs, toilet handle, towel rod etc will all need to be changed

Leave the faucet alone. If you want more a farm feel? Change the mirror to one with a black frame, and where is your light may I ask? I certainly wouldn't put a dime into a PLUMBER to get at that faucet change for a 4 inch centerset look that is dated........despite a finish change. That said? There are better ones anyway....MOEN 6150

Spend the money on something else .

I agree with others as I wouldn't change the faucet since the rest of the hardware would need to be changed as well. The faucet you have now goes well with the rest of the hardware choices.

I would think that changing the paint color or even wallpapering, artwork - adding colorful towels - anything to add some color to the room which seems completely washed out with the pale green and beige.

Well, I'm actually not a fan of chrome--and I love mixing metal finishes, as long as they work together. I think ORB will always be with us, sometimes more popular, sometimes less. I rarely see matte black done well. Most of the time it gives me a "Pottery Barn does Halloween" vibe. So my vote is for ORB :)

Have you seen the Kohler Worth faucet? I really like the industrial-style, valve-type handles, which I’ve not seen on any other faucet. It’s available in oil-rubbed bronze (no matte black):

I love oil rubbed bronze. While I do have chrome in my master bath (hard to find handicapped access fixtures in ORB...) I love the ORB in my guest bath and kitchen! Unless you need handicapped access fixtures, keep looking. ORB is still out there, and I do prefer over black matte. Or, chrome.

DON'T let people insisting on trends dissuade you. You should enjoy your home.

I just redid our bath and used the black accessories. Knobs and pulls, towel rod, shower rod, curtain rod, TP holder, robe hook. Looks nice and clean with the greige walls, white curtain and white shower curtain. Left the faucet chrome.
