tahitian gardenia advice

I bought a Tahitian Gardenia this past weekend at the Mounts plant sale. I haven't luck in the past with gardenias so I really want this little beauty to thrive. I live in zone 10b (Delray Beach, FL). any advice? plant in the ground, pot, light, water requirements, etc.

Did you get the single or double flowers? It doesn't have as much fragrance as the G. jasminoides, but is pretty easy to grow. It likes full sun, unlike G. jasminoides, which likes some afternoon shade. I put mine in shade, but it didn't do well until I moved it into a spot with more afternoon sun.

It's single flowers I think. It has been blooming in it's original pot since I got it. thanks for the advice, sun it is..
