These chairs were surprisingly very comfortable. They have good back support, a good amount of padding in the seat and back, and are a good size for someone 6'4" or on the broad side (my husband). I don't want to discourage anyone that's not that tall b/c I'm 5'5" and average build and we both equally LOVE the comfort level of these chairs! Also, I'd like to metion for anyone wondering about NPD's customer service ... it is TOP-NOTCH! I wholeheartedly recommend these Maria - you won't be sorry! : )
