If you really want all the family pix in the main entertaining space, then they need to be blown up a lot more and you need fewer of them above the console. The grouping should stay within 75% of the console's width. Since you want them on public view, I'd have one of the family ones done up about the size of your firebox opening and hung above the mantel if you have a fireplace. Have you considered putting them on larger canvases; especially the ones of the kids when younger? Sepia or black and white would be more classic, unless you just want the color.
