Cylinders of chicken wire help reduce or eliminate rabbits’ access. IME very little is critter-proof if the critters are hungry enough.

Look to toxic plants such as daffodils or monkshood or Colchicum for your best bet.

rats with cotton tails.. and their distant relatives rats with white tails and real long legs ... will eat just about anything.. if starving ...

and really.. fencing is the best alternative ... which for the short dudes.. is relatively easy.. compared to the big dudes.. who can jump a 6 foot fence without a thought ...

sooo.. hopefully your yard is fenced.. and you can add some smaller gauge fencing ... and keep them out .. [they can go thru a regular cyclone yard fence at speed.. if need be ...so you need smaller holes .. like chicken wire]

btw .. you buy the long rolls of chicken wire .. and attach it to existing fence with zip ties ...

im suspecting.. your yard is not fenced.. and my suggestions are moot ... but maybe this will help others ...

Thank you for your comments. Our back yard is fenced hence rabbits cannot access but not our front yard. We have two levels of garden wall infront. Our neighbors use chicken wire and honestly they look ugly and takes away from the look of the house and garden. I'll just have to keep researching. Someone suggested potentillas. I will have to look at them some more.

Sorry to tell you rabbits ate my potentillas down to ground two springs ago. This winter they went after oak leaf hydrangeas and Miss Kim hydrangea. They usually go for the young tender stuff though they will girdle any living plant in wint if they are hungry enough. Why don't you give yourself a season and look at similar places as you explore the neighborhood. You'll get ideas.

I'd also start small so your losses won't amount to a lot of money. I apply Rabbit Scram to

all my younger plants in spring. It does keep the rabbits away for a good 4 or5 weeks so the plants have a chance.

Plantskydd is a very good product.

Both products smell very ripe for a day then the odor goes away.
