I can't tell, is that a storm door covering your actual door?

I think the wood door would look nice

Our last house was beige with white trim. The front door was a deep red. It looked great. We painted our current door the same color red....so.... it works....only problem is the new door is so modern with so much glass that I can't see much of the red. The stained door above looks lovely too. Don't worry about making a bad choice; either will look lovely!

The wood is more high end. Its hard to tell from your picture if spending all the extra money on a wood door would fit with your home. If you are on a budget go with the red door. I like both.

A red door would be great. I’d also (not that you asked, so excuse the buttinsky-ness if this comment) consider beefing up the columns as they look a bit skimpy. (It will be cheap, cheerful and go a long way.)

Have you already made the decision and replaced the door?
If not, I prefer the wood door: classy and you will never tire of it.
(Speaking from personal experience having painted front door an assortment of colors before replacing with stained wood door). Have trim match as white trim will clash.
The thicker column suggestion from buttinsky ;-) spot on.
Hgtv shows usually do this for exteriors and it transforms the home.
