I have a bed with a 4 year old Dream Queen. It’s looking good. As it has gotten older I am really admiring the rounded leaf form. I know it did not have that leaf shape when young. And I am pretty sure the light area in the center is narrower now. (Or perhaps I could say that the blue margin is wider as the leaf has gotten wider?)

I actually bought 2 at the same time. Both were small plants: 2 eyes and one eye. I planted both near each other. DQ # 2 does not look the same, though. It’s much smaller, shorter, leaves are not round, and the light color in the center is wider. I am assuming that was the smaller plant originally.

I am thinking that # 2 may have been mismarked.

Or: could 2 plants similar in age develop mature form at different rates?

Part 2 of question:

I have a Dream Weaver as well. Bought as a much larger plant on sale that same fall (2015). That is showing the rounded leaf form like DQ has. It is not in a great location to display how attractive it really is.

I would be hard pressed to tell them apart. I am imagining that DQ’s light center is narrower. Thinking about moving it in to replace the supposed DQ # 2. But if I just need to leave DQ # 2 for longer, I will.

Or if DQ and DW grow up to look much different, I will not. Hosta Library pics look much the same.
