This is a Renovation- It’s a blank slate as the current laundry room has no shelves, cabinets, nothing but 1 door to the outside, 1 door to the garage, and a swinging door to the rest of the house.
I have what I feel like is a generous sized laundry room, but I just can’t make it work for optimal use of space/cabinets/storage. The red “x” indicates that there will not be a window there. I am willing to remove the existing window on the other wall next to the door if necessary. (the door is half paneled glass so the room will get natural light from that)
Things I would like in this laundry room:
Pantry (don’t have one in the kitchen either)
Bench by the door for removing dirty shoes
Tall storage (ironing board, vacuum, mops, brooms)
Hanging storage (jackets, raincoats)
Lots of cabinet storage for misc.
A countertop near the dryer to transfer clothes from the dryer.
A small sink.
Am I expecting too much?.
This is what the cabinet maker & I have come up with so far, but now I’m stumped- Please help!
