I would leave them unless you change the color of your trim. But I would paint the front door a shade of blue and replace the exterior lights with something more fitting and to scale.

What shade of blue for the door? I have also thought of painting it.

I would not paint the pillers, however, I do not think the door color is right for your house (although, I do like rusty red doors). I would paint the door a darker bluish teal color.

Thanks for the illustration! So you recommend painting the door left/right window accents (not sure of the technical name) the same tannish color of my siding? Why not carry the blue over with it or paint it white? I really want to give accents to the tan color. There is so much on the exterior of my house. I like the idea with the light fixtures. I was planning on doing this.

Here is a closer view of the door and the light fixtures. I will also be replacing the door handle/lock hardware. Probably with black in color.
