Help Me Find-Roses states it generally has 17 - 25 petals so this count is possibly correct. How's the scent? ZD has a strong one. An immature plant in high heat could produce a less double, more open flower...if that is the case. How old is the plant? Is it generally prickle-free as ZD is known to be?

Roseseek, It definitely has a beautiful bourbon scent, although not strong at all. literally had to shove the rose up my nose to smell it. And YES, not a thorn in sight. I read from someone else in my zone that because of our heat and humidity the smell is definitely much more milder.

Shes been in the ground about 1.5 months. came as a bare root.

From all of the evidence, I would think your rose is ZD. Congratulations!
