Two large handsome paintings would work well.

Unfortunately, none of your other selections seem very glam. Your rug is rustic, the chairs are too dark for the space IMO.

Teal can be a difficult color because it soaks up so much light.

This color combination below of a soft aqua and pearl taupe might be a bit more interesting long term.

I worked with what I had. The rug is geometric - not sure that you can really pick it up in the picture. The chairs have covers on them after my cat ruined the leather but they're ugly anyway.

Hi Libby, and good to figure out what you have and why - I have had cats who do it too. True that the dark chairs have sharp contrast, but I'd try a horizontal piece, maybe canvas to bring grey/black with a glam aqua, etc...

Just quick find, maybe with glossy aqua tray that's oval?

I would put a tall floor lamp in the right side corner for ambient lighting and some height. Lower the mirror slightly or add something taller to the console so the mirror and console are more connected. Remove your extra pillows. Put your fur throw over the chair on the left, and add something blue to the ottoman. You can do that with a blue tray, or blue items on your tray, or even blue fabric or adhesive to the inside of the tray you have. The lamp can be white or metal, which would look nice against the wall color.

The table and mirror are both too small. You've created a feature wall with the bold paint, but you don't have anything to feature on it. If you are going to keep the table and mirror, then I'd paint the wall back to the original color. If you want to keep the turquoise wall, then get a wider console and/or fill it with art.

This is expensive, but you might like similar at Home Goods...

You have a lovely start. I don't think you need much. I like the idea of some lamps, but consider some glam sconces, or some black and white Hollywood poster/pictures. Personalize the room with nicely framed B/W posters/pictures of your favourite movies, or movie stars.

How about a white flokati rug?! Very glam. If not art on the wall, how about keeping the mirror but adding several others smaller in scale, different gold tones frames. Yes the console table is a bit small.
