Paint help to lighten and match different trims

The woodwork in my home has been painted what I have matched to Eggwhite in the formal areas, hallways, bathrooms and bedrooms on the main and second floors. The walls around the eggwhite are currently SW Latte. I would like to lighten this up quite a bit with a neutral that I would also use in the family room, but the family room woodwork was not painted and is a honey oak (there are built-ins, crown molding, etc.). I would like to eventually paint the woodwork, but not now. The family room also does not get very much natural light, so feels very dark and is currently painted a gold color similar to SW Blonde. I want one color for all the spaces that will compliment the eggwhite and the honey oak woodwork and lighten up all spaces. As an aside, I thought BM Pale Oak was the answer, based on the lovely pictures from other people's homes...I painted a basement bathroom, a bedroom (daughter loved it) and laundry room that color. Against the oak it looks stark and almost icy, against the eggwhite it looks good, but not quite right for the whole house. Help?
