That's it. As I recall,I thought I was home free and then that area just sunk in. It stopped. It won't win any prizes but is different....even that lean is what the plant wanted..I just went with it.

In person,the trunk looks a bit more hefty than in photos. I need to reduce that foliage even more.

Is that area soft or firm? Did a branch break off there?

Nice looking specimen. There was probably another big trunk where the wound is. Leave it alone to callous and keep it dry. Later you can put a big interesting rock to block the view. And take big cuttings and when they are rooted you could use them to block view of the callous too. I think you do some foliage (a little cloud) to balance the heavy leaning side.

That was it. It was a large branch that rotted and pulled off when I picked this up. It was a Jade I dug out and left under hedges for months last year. I can't remember all the ways I come into my plants!..too many.

Its doing a little of the trailing thing..I kind of like how it cascades past the pot line. Would be nice to keep that. Not many trailing Jade plants around.

I would use a more porous mix to avoid rot. It appears to be potted in yard/garden soil.

I never get alerts from howz and I have it checked. Thanks everybody. It did fall right out of that pot...moved it so the fence would hold it upright and it's done fine..bloomed too.

But..the base of these fat Jades seem so sensitive to sun compared to in the ground plants. You have to watch necrosis doesn't set in.
