The plan design questions are many..... but the first questions you should ask before you hire them would be I want to see your Contractors License, your bond information and your insurance information.....from there you can ask about previous projects, references that you can check up on, any negative reports to the BBB or State Licensing Board, how many years experience, who are his subs, are they licensed, bonded and insured.......just for starts......any hesitations should be a red flag to show them the door.

Maybe it would help to wait to we hear back from still on his/her project and what state it's in..
