Are you planning to keep the bedding? Its easier to pick a color after you make that decision and match the paint to the bedding. White curtains would be nice, it would brighten up the room. Can you post the rest of the room, is there a nightstand on each side?

Gray carpet, gray walls and gray upholstered headboard seems like gray everywhere. Is that what you want? If not, look at using some color on the walls based on the bedding you choose.

We think there is a lot more you can do with the space to make it brighter and more welcoming. Why not try some all white bedding and white drapes? Instead of all grey you can do white and then add accessories throughout that add color. We also recommend changing out the fan for a great chandelier.

As a guest, I'd like to see more room on the bedside table for my own things - a glass of water, a book, my glasses. So I'd suggest you remove the framed picture to make room.

The room is currently all the same mid tone. I would paint the walls a deeper blue than the bedding. Or at the very least, add some large colorful artwork. You need more contrasts of light and dark in the space. If you're trying to keep the colors soft and neutral, you need to add more texture - try a framed mirror, highly textured pillows, and art.

Light gray, light aqua and beige....all too light, all boring. Since the carpet is staying and I like the aqua, get rid of the beige. Go look at some drapery panels in a print which includes the gray and/or the aqua. If you have a paint store color fandeck, select the gray and aqua colors which match the closest and take those colors with you when looking for drapes. If you can sew simple drapery panels, you will have the best chance of finding a good fabric print at a fabric store: my favorite is Calico, but Joanne may do. Aqua, gray and white with another color (orange?) would add some personality to the room. They will produce drapery panels for you, but for a price. It’s worth it. Once you have the draperies, you can pick a wall color....white white, silvery gray or??

Gray Owl is a great choice. No undertones in it so it will read a very light gray. I would use white bedding and white curtains. You can pick up color with toss pillows, a throw and art work. Also I suggest you raise your curtain rod next to the ceiling so it makes the rooms to be taller. Lastly I would change the fan to a chandelier. Best of luck to you.

From your inspiration pictures, you like a bedroom with a mix of soft tones, especially with some blue or blue-green. You already have that so I don't really see the need to replace the drapes. They seem to go well with the bed skirt (which looks beige on my screen) and the headboard (is it beige or gray?). Maybe add a throw and a pillow in a darker tone of your bedspread, add some art work with the same colors, and call it a day. This was in your inspiration pics.

If you are planning on changing the bedding, besides white and yellow, you might consider navy which pairs well with beige and gray.

Don't know your budget but here are simple light fixtures that might appeal.

White curtains are a very good choice.

Leave the ceiling fan there - some rooms get a bit warm when the door is shut, and a guest will have more control over the temperature if they get a bit hot at night.
