I don’t think the size of your space or your ceiling height works with that particular fixture. I’d suggest something more like this

But then definitely supplement with a fun floor lamp in the corner or wall sconces on either side of art or the TV. Good lighting has more than just overhead and your space wants something minimal on the ceiling.

why does the space call for something minimal on the ceiling? curious about how to make better design decisions. OR how do you determine room size vs. chandelier size? as I mentioned above when I measured out the chandelier size it didn't seem too large for the room to me. it's about twice the diameter of the current flush mount. I'm not a big fan of most flush mounts I've seen and thought about covering it up and putting in recessed lights around the perimeter, but am afraid the covered hole will be an eyesore.

I think it drops down into your space to far. The fixture is a minimum of 19 inches from the ceiling. It appears that you have 8 foot tall ceilings. Anyone that is near 6 foot tall will be brushing up against it. It is also3 ‘ wide and with as narrow as your room is it will take up a good chunk of the ceiling. My suggestion is to hand a box or pieces of paper hanging down 19” and 3” in diameter and see how it feels to walk under it to give you a better idea of whether you would like this size of light.

Overhead lighting shouldn't be the main source of lighting in your room. Floor lamps, table lamps, and uplights should also be part of your overall lighting plan.

are there general guidelines on how to balance between floor/table lighting and overhead? i.e. 50/50? 1 floor/table light for every X sqft?

Yiilighting was a complete scam. I received one of four fixtures I ordered. It took 2 months to get to me. It was the wrong color. I have no answer from the company where the other 3 are.

I just bought six fixtures from Yii Lighting. Five of them were delivered in decent shape and look great. The six item didn't arrive; and before I could contact them about the missing fixture, they emailed and asked if I would like to switch it out or get a refund. The refund was in my PayPal account with 24 hours. Really pleased with their customer service.

To answer your question, they are not the manufacture, its a website much like shades of light would be. Often people think the website is the mfg, but they are not.

Don't waste your time with this company. Their customer service is terrible and their shipping times are complete fiction. Kept getting the run-around on an order that ended up never shipping. Sought refund through PayPal.

Beware of Yii Lighting. They are a SCAM. I knew the price point was too good to be true, but they are not even UL listed lights as they claim. My particular experience was that once installed, the light had an insanely seizure-inducing strobe. I immediately uninstalled the light because it was dangerous. When I inquired about a refund, they refused because I had already assembled the light and that was against their return policy. I asked what their return policy was on defective and dangerous items, and they still refused. My previous other light fixture and the one I've installed since did not have a strobe issue in the outlet, so it is clearly the light from Yii.

They delivered fairly quickly but one light fixture kept shorting when we attempted to install, electrician believes voltage is incorrect. I contacted the company via their website and email, no response to get this fixed. Stay away from them, they don't stand by their products

YL002067 in Rose. There was a problem with the unit they sent us, but their customer service responded to us right away and sent us a replacement in a timely matter.

I would say I am pleasantly surprised by their responsiveness. We have track lighting and open-beam ceiling, so my electrician had the idea to get an adapter. The light is very light, so it worked out.

Beware of Yii lighting. This company is a scam. They never shipped a chandelier i ordered, but went ahead and got paid thru paypal.I have filed a complaint to paypal and informed my credit card to stop payment. I should have investigated the company before placing my order. My bad. 😩😤

Im sorry but Im not seeing the concetion between your space and that light fixture. I also think shadows on the tv screen would be annoying, I would go to a simple semi flush.
