Check the manufacturer's installation instructions for the appliances in question please.

We have a Dacor gas cooktop over a Dacor electric oven. We had the same configuration, different vintage in our old house. The oven door handle only sticks out a little and is totally not an issue. The one thing I don’t like about my current vintage oven is that it doesn’t hold a steady temp. At 350 the actual temp can be 350 or as low as 320. Mostly this is not a problem for me now that I’m used to it, as I just turn it up a little more than the recipe calls for for cakes etc. and I’m pretty good at telling if something is done or not. But if I baked a lot of tricky things or relied primarily on recipe bake times to determine if something was done, I’m not sure I would be okay with it. And yes, I did have it checked. Twice.

It’s a space puzzle that always comes up with a minus. The wall oven is much lower down than in a range. It can sit below the toe kick line to make all of the clearances work. And that is if they are the same brand,which is the only way any of it will be warrantied work. If you mix brands, you void warranties, and you are on your own to figure out the clashing clearance dimensions. They will clash too. Which is why the oven sits partially in the toekick for some installations.

You are much much better off with a range. You are better off for electrical and plumbing issues too. Only 1 circuit is needed.

I agree this configuration never makes sense to me a wall oven is meant to be in a wall at a easy to reach position not even lower than an oven in a range.and the price difference is huge for not gain in function.
