bk, To me, it looks like the red cornerstone is the center of the block with the plain white as sashing.

OK, I had to go and look for it since it's been so long since I started it. I was pretty sure it was a quilt on Jenny Doan's site and it was. It's called "Four Corners Quilt" and I have included the link. I didn't make the sashings exactly like she did with the little stars and I think I made the cross in the middle wider than what she did, I usually tweak patterns when I find them somewhere.
