Why do you want white for the walls? A soft color might be nice with your furnishings. If you want to keep it neutral, look at your photo of the dresser and how the wall color contrasts with the white moldings. It looks like Origami White could be a great choice if you like that look. What is your flooring in the room? What color are the moldings? How much light is in the space?

Find something with an undertone of your accent color. An all white nursery is unrealistic and down the road will provide no stimulation or contrast for your child to see different planes.

I would want a soft color too. One that is suitable for a nursery. Babies need some color to look at and grow with. A nursery is designed for a child, not for the parents personal taste. I do love your furniture and congratulations on the new baby. Is this your first?

I do like the idea of Origami white with the tan undertone, but seemed very dark in the sample I painted on the wall. There are so many different "whites" that I am looking for something with a tan/gray undertone but do not want it to end up blue/pink/green like I've seen before. The molding are Snowbound SW, so a pure white.

It is a second child and I guarantee he will have plenty of stimulation to outweigh the paint color selected :-)

Green always looks good with natural wood tones - something pale with gray or khaki undertones, not minty or limey.

Snowbound is actually pretty off white. I would suggest Toque White, Aesthetic White or White Heron staying in that family of colors.

A paper white wall might be too stark and TOO TEMPTING for when your child discovers crayons.... Pale green or pale yellow would look good, IMO.

One of the prettiest nurseries I saw in this forum was all white. I might have saved the picture and if memory serves, it was Bri Bosh's nursery. She might see this thread and chime in. That said, if you have a white you love on the mouldings, why not use the same for the walls?
