Help with bedroom design

I have no idea what to hang/ how to decorate the wall behind my bed. The windows are not center with the wall. The picture is how it looks now. Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Another pic with bare walls.

I would move the bed to a side wall

Wall to wall ceiling to floor curtains.

Unfortunately, moving the bed is not really and option. One wall has another set of uncentered windows which would present the same problem. Another wall already has the tv mounted. And the last wall is where the bathroom and closets are so there isn’t enough space.

Since you already have windows on another wall.... here is some inspiration:

    Not a Pro.

Looking at your Sketch, it seems drapes were not what you want, but to only decorate the center wall over the bed.

If you want drapes, you may not have room to add decor over the bed.

If you center the bed to the windows rather than the wall and leave the area rug where you have it.....adding a small chair or changing out the end table may be all you need to get the look you want.

Move the bed to a different wall

Center the bed on the windows...that will leave a little more room on one side for a chest of doors...book shelf?...dressing table?...or whatever else you can find to fit there that would be useful and still allow you space to walk by

The odd placement of the ceiling fixtures is disconcerting also...maybe a sketch of the floor plan with measurements.and size of bed ....showing the light fixtures ,doors,closet...etc will suggest some other arrangement?

Could you please show pictures of the other walls so we can see the locations of all the doors and windows as they relate to the whole room I also fell that this may not be the best location for the bed. As mentioned the lighting locations look strange. Having 2 lights seems strange

Since you have other windows, I would use some type of blackout product (film, shade, blind or even cardboard) on those windows and then drape them so they are covered and you have an equal amount of exposed wall right and left. Then center the rug and bed with the new "window" which is now centered in the room.

However you proceed. Please post pictures as you go along decorating. We love seeing the progress.

Looks like you have picked the "best" wall for your bed. I like the other suggestions of putting drapes on the entire wall to make the windows appear centered evenly. Will look for a photo example.

It was easier to do a mockup. Tried to center everything on the wall.

I really like that mock-up @shwshw. I think I’m either gonna go with something like in that mock-up or center the beds between the windows and put something in the corner like a tall lamp or chair. I will post updated pics as I go along.
