Larri, that's one bright quilt! I like it a lot. It looks like a similar technique to the "Turning Twenty" series that was really popular a few years ago.

I imagine there are few new Mommas who would desire it in their current monochromatic or soothing pink/blue/grey baby rooms. We needed a new one, so I plan to toss it on the nursery floor at church for all the babies to roll & play. It will cover a multitude of drool! :)

I love how vibrant it is, the blue is almost electric! I discovered this woman's videos quite recently & she's great. Quite knowledgeable in color theory too.

Larri, I love it! I probably have at least 15 scrap quilts in my scrap bag right now. Ahhh if only time didn't move so darned fast!

Valarie, I started making fabric with scraps but was using various shades of the same color. I'll work on it again when I want to sew but can't concentrate. lol

Both the above quilts are great. And totally different. I'm so glad this hobby lends itself to such a wonderful variety of styles and patterns and colors. It keeps it from getting boring, that's for sure.

Larri, I LOVE the bright colors -- especially the blue and the dragonflies. I find that bright colors and contemporary designs are a big part of what have interested me in trying quilting. I found one classic diamonds pattern I liked and showed it to my husband in two colorways -- he didn't like either, so I might be getting more support for the colorful quilts from an aging "hippie" too. LOL .

I was surprised to see Bargello as a thing in quilt designs. My mom did Bargello needlepoint and I always found the patterns and color flows fascinating. The bright colors of the Eric Carle designs were certainly part or the reason we enjoyed his books and I am now looking forward to making some quilts. I need to stop talking and get to where I can start stitching!

Littlehelen -- I love your hearts too! The softer colors are so appropriate there -- and the pieced fabric hearts are fun. I have so much to learn and play with.

Great scrap quilt, Larri! And I have three overflowing totes/paper sacks full of scraps to make some charity quilts once I get all the boutique items made to contribute to my two quilt guilds. I’m off to the Karen Brown tutorials.
