I discovered this volunteer (seedling) daylily and was really surprised at how gorgeous the flowers are. The parent is next to it in my border, and has darker color and non-ruffled petals that are a little pointier in shape. So this chance seedling has a great color, really nice ruffled petal edges and fuller, wider petals. I noticed that the three sepals are almost a match for the three petals, so all six give a nice full look. The flower size is about the same as the parent, around 5 inches in diameter.
